"I have been in this business for 18 years and I have just about seen it all, but this carpet blew me away.
After a Mohawk representative informed me about this supposedly miraculous product called SmartStrand, I decided I had to test this stuff out myself and I put it in my own house. I ordered South Padre in Vanilla Cherry and made a large rug for my living room. Then, I took a leftover piece and started my own experiment. I poured 8 ounces of mustard (one of the worst and most common stain culprits), Ketchup, grape juice, cranberry juice, and Cheerwine onto my leftover remnant. I even took a piece and stuck into a jar of bleach. Then, to really give those stains a chance, I let the products soak into the carpet for an entire week. At the end of the week I was convinced. The stains not only came out completely, but did so with ease. While the piece I had in the jar of bleach did show a slight lighting of color, it upheld its structural integrity, which is phenomenal considering nylon carpet will completely disintegrate within a few hours! I was more than impressed and convinced, I was sold. I put some in my daughter’s house the next month and have since provided SmartStrand for several of my clients who are as thrilled as I am..
